Mandalorian Star Passes Away Unexpectedly

Star Wars: “The Mandalorian” is a space Western web television series created by Jon Favreau, and it premiered as a new original series on Disney+ when the streaming service became available in November 2019“The Mandalorian” is the first live-action series for the Star Wars franchise.

Carl Weathers

Carl Weathers is a star in his own right even before meeting Grogu on the set of The Mandalorian. Weathers has appeared in such blockbusters as Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” film series, “The Predator”, “Happy Gilmore”, and most recently Greef Karga on “The Mandalorian.”

Fans of Toy Story may also notice his familiar voice as Combat Carl in Toy Story of Terror and Combat Carl and Combat Carl Junior in Toy Story 4. Born in 1948, Weathers had a 50-year career as both an actor and a director. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1st at the age of 76.

His family shared this statement, “He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. … Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life.”

“Through his contributions to film, television, the arts, and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized worldwide and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.”

Carl Weathers passed away at the age of 76.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this time. We are thankful for his amazing giftings and talents that brought a smile and even a tear to our eyes on the big screen.

This is so sad. I loved him in The Mandalorian. Especially this last season. He seemed like he really enjoyed the role.
