Dumbo Just Got an Upgrade at the Magic Kingdom

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Dumbo is a classic spinner-style ride at the Magic Kingdom. We have our first view of the new interactive element that will be part of the ride.

We have said it before, and here we are saying it again: Disney Parks are more than simply a theme park. Of course, they have great attractions that the whole family can enjoy, but the Disney Parks are so much more than that.

Guests can enjoy wonderful entertainment, meet their favorite characters, and step into their favorite film with such great immersive experiences as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

There are also fun experiences that are often overlooked. One such experience is included with your Magic Kingdom park ticket. “A Pirate’s Adventure League” allows guests to journey throughout Adventureland. Once enlisted, guests help Captain Jack raid the “Treasures of the Seven Seas!”

This is a great way to take a break from wait times and attractions for young pirates. Disney Parks do a great job of adding magical touches like this fun scavenger hunt and interactive queues for guests.

Over at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland is such a magical land. There is so much for guests of all ages to see and do in this fun area. Guests can try to remove the sword from the stone or be sprinkled with pixie dust to start their day.

Now a new interactive experience is revealed at Fantasyland. “Smellephants on Parade” will be a family-friendly search and sniff adventure in Storybook Circus. This new experience is sponsored by Scentsy and is a scavenger hunt for the senses.

We first shared about this new experience last July. Finally, after several months, signage now reveals this new experience. Everyone’s favorite pachyderm, Dumbo received an upgrade.

New signage for Dumbo the Flying Elephant reveals “Sponsored by Scentsy.” This partnership with Scentsy will bring the “Smellephants on Parade” immersive experience to guests very soon.

We are hopeful that this will be a better immersive experience than that at the Flower and Garden Festival.
