Breaking: New Interactive Experience Coming to the Magic Kingdom

We dearly miss the interactive game Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Disney will bring a new interactive experience to the Magic Kingdom soon.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom was an interactive game that you could play in the Magic Kingdom. The game was included in your admission to the park and could be done at your convenience while you explore Magic Kingdom!

Unfortunately, Disney ended this experience in early 2021. Disney fans were shocked and upset by this news.

Disney is a major player in theme parks, streaming television, and major motion pictures, but we haven’t seen any Disney cards since Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. However, the newly announced Lorcana game will compete with other brands. You can read more about that HERE.

Guests and fans are beginning for something new, and Disney is about to deliver. “Smellephants on Parade” will be a family-friendly search and sniff adventure in Storybook Circus.

Judging by the location and description, this will likely be geared towards smaller children and families. Storybook Circus is home to Dumbo, Barnstormer, and Pete’s Silly Sideshow.

The experience is presented by Scentsy, which is the official home fragrance of Disney World. This kind of reminds me of the Flower and Garden Festival display over at Epcot. You can read more about our thoughts in this post.

I know this is not an exact replacement for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, but this gives kids and families something to do in the park. Over in Adventureland, Guests can participate in A Pirate’s Adventure.

It’s our hope that Disney adds back some free interactive experiences that families can enjoy during their time in the park. Disney promises to share more about this experience in the future, and we will keep you posted!
