Where to Find the Best PhotoPass Location Outside the Parks

For many Disney World guests having pictures taken by Disney’s PhotoPass photographers is a must-do. There are dozens of PhotoPass locations throughout the parks. Some of the most popular being those that use Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, or the Tree of Life as a backdrop. Outside of the parks there is a PhotoPass studio at the Disney Springs where you can have pictures taken using fun backdrops and props. But there is also another lesser-known PhotoPass location outside the parks and the best part is you can take photos with the glass slipper there!

Once Upon a Time, you could find Cinderella’s Glass Slipper on display in the back of 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort. Guests of the restaurant could pose for photos with it with a PhotoPass photographer. This popular restaurant hosted a Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh.

Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner featured Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Evil Stepmother, Anastasia and Drizella. It was a fun dinner with fabulous character interactions and my son and I (Ashley) had a great experience there dressing up, meeting the characters and posing for photos with the glass slipper.

Unfortunately, since the park closure in 2020, 1900 Park Fare is one of the last Disney World restaurants that remains closed. There are rumors that once the Grand Floridian construction finally wraps up, 1900 Park Fare will reopen with some fresh updates but there has been no official announcement about a reopening date.

Where is the Glass Slipper Now?

Last year Disney quietly set up a new PhotoPass location on the second floor of the Grand Floridian lobby where guests can pose for photos with the glass slipper. This is wonderful spot to bring a child dressed up like Cinderella or Prince Charming for some adorable and unique photos.

It was the perfect place to get some Cinderella themed pictures taken of my daughter on her first Disney vacation wearing a Cinderella onesie and blue tutu. The location was empty so we didn’t have to wait and the photographer spent a lot of time with us getting her in different poses.

Of course you don’t have to pose with the glass slipper if you don’t want to and this is still a great spot to get photos taken. Occasionally they have had other props to pose with such as books and a Mickey pumpkin.

I think it’s the perfect place to stop for pictures while dressed up for a nice dinner at Citrico’s or Narcoossee’s. My husband I were just dining at Citricos’s for our anniversary dinner and we stopped at this PhotoPass location for a family photo with our daughter after dinner.

FAQ about the Grand Floridian PhotoPass location

Credit: Ashley

Where is it located? On the second floor between the elevator and the monorail. You can’t miss it!

Do I need a reservation? Nope! Just show up. There is rarely a wait.

Do I need to be a guest of the Grand Floridian? Nope! Anyone can pop over for photos. At Christmas-time a visit to the giant gingerbread house, a dinner reservation and some photos here would be a fun evening!

What are the hours? 9am-8pm

Is there a charge? In order to download photos taken by the PhotoPass photographers you would need to have Memory Maker or buy individual photos. But there is no charge to stop by and take your own photos with your cell phone.

Will this location remain open after 1900 Park Fare reopens? I hope so! Disney hasn’t said what the plan is for the PhotoPass area or the glass slipper long-term but I hope they keep it where it is because it is more accessible to everyone, not just guests dining at 1900 Park Fare.
