Figment
Figment is a small purple dragon that is a figment of everyone’s imagination. On March 5, 1983, the brand new attraction, “Journey Into the Imagination” opened at FutureWorld in Epcot. It introduced and featured both Figment and the Dreamfinder.
Figment has also appeared in a series of Epcot educational media short videos for schools and in two Marvel Comics’ Disney Kingdom’s brand comic book series. These series have recently become popular once again. You can learn more about Figment HERE.
He’s Back
Previously guests could meet Figment, our favorite little spark. However, he has not greeted guests for many years. Then, last year, we announced HERE that Figment would be once again greeting guests.
Figment hasn’t had a meet for a long time, but his cult-like following hasn’t slowed down. Just take a look at how popular the Figment popcorn buckets have been during EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts. People waited in line for hours!
Then, yesterday, Disney announced at the D23 event Figment’s meet and greet starts today, September 10!
Meeting Him
Last month, we announced HERE that Vanellope is no longer meeting guests. Beginning today, Figment is meeting guests here in the Imagination Pavilion at Epcot!
Last night, attendees of the D23 Event were given first access to meet Figment. And the lines appeared to be 3-4 hours long during their preview! Unfortunately, you can expect crazy long lines to meet him today also!
To have a better chance of meeting him, you need to know just when he will be there. He meets guests at 10:00am to 1:30pm and 2:20-5:00pm.
However, you need to get there as early as possible so the line doesn’t get cut off. Today will probably be his busiest day, so if you can wait a few days to meet him, it may help.
Figment meets guests in the Imagination Pavilion from 10:00am to 1:30pm and 2:20-5:00pm.
