When I saw the new Chocolate-Peanut Butter Milk Shake that Disney debuted, I knew I needed it! But, is it as good as it sounds? I tried it and here are my thoughts.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has its very own ice cream stand. Located on Sunset Blvd near Tower of Terror and Rock n’ Roller Coaster, Hollywood Scoops is your go-to place for a delicious treat.

Their menu changes seasonally, and there are always both traditional menu items and special offerings to be had. I really love the Mickey waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream! It’s on my list of top snacks at Hollywood Studios.

RIGHT NOW, you can enjoy a new offering. You can and SHOULD treat yourself to the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Milk Shake. This shake creation features a chocolate shake topped with whipped cream and a chocolate doughnut with peanut butter icing garnished with chocolate-peanut butter crumbles.

Let’s start with the chocolate doughnut. This is a cake doughnut, not a glazed one. It looked and tasted more like a bundt cake than a doughnut, but it was still a nice starter to the shake. After all, you cannot get to the shake without eating the doughnut first!

As for the crumbles, these tasted exactly like a Butterfinger candy bar. However, because they were on the rim of the cup they were a bit hard to get to. I moved on to the milk shake pretty quickly.

The milk shake itself tasted like a plain chocolate milk shake. There was a ton of whipped cream. It would have been really nice if the milk shake had peanut butter too, since the only hints of peanut butter were in the crumbles.

Priced at $9.49 this is a pretty expensive snack, but it’s almost like having two snacks with the chocolate doughnut on top. I probably will not get this again and just go for a regular chocolate milk shake.
