See what Disney+ content will be available on DVD for the first time ever.
Disney+
By now, DIsney+ needs no introduction. People all over subscribe to the streaming service either through add-supported streaming or the full service.
Of course, if you are an add-supported subscriber, you might have heard that pricing is about to go up for the service!
Unfortunately, that’s not the only change to Disney+. A MASSIVE deletion of content that made many users feel frazzled. You can see a big list of all the original content Disney+ removed in the massive purge HERE.
But, good news!
If you are worried about your favorite Disney+ shows disappearing, we have good news! Disney will soon release several original Disney+ shows to DVD soon.
Loki, WandaVision, and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian will all be available on DVD. The Collector’s Edition sets will be on 4K UHD and Blu-ray and will feature Steelbook packaging and new bonus features.
This is the first time Disney has ever released Disney+ original content on a physical format.
When to order
The four titles will be available for pre-order on August 28 for the following release dates:
- Loki Season 1 – September 26, 2023
- WandaVision: The Complete Series – November 28, 2023
- Both seasons of The Mandalorian – December 12, 2023
Loki season 2 premieres on Disney+ on October 6. What great timing! And, before you ask, we do not have physical media release date for season 3 of The Mandalorian, which debuted on Disney+ earlier this year.
We are excited to see these fan-favorite shows in physical format! It does leave us curious if Disney may plan to do the same for other original content.
Will you buy any of these shows on DVD? What other original titles would you like to see Disney release? Or, are you happy to stream these titles on Disney+? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with a friend.

They removed Artemis Fowl from the streaming, so I want a Blu Ray because I loved it.

The other would be a smart choice to start releasing titles such as the live action films
Lady and the Tramp Pinocchio Peter Pan and Wendy
On bluray, as well as many of the series that kickstarted with the app.
However, if Disney really wants to get back on their physical media game and cut out the middle man, they could easily place these titles as Disney Movie Club Exclusives.
