It all started decades ago in a galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars film franchise continues to be one of the most popular franchise ever!
With the acquisition of Star Wars by The Walt Disney Company in 2012, an explosion of spin-off stories, characters, and even entire theme park lands came with it. It is marvelous to see what Disney has done with Star Wars in the last 10 years.
And, in just a few days they have a new story to tell.
New Story
You may have also seen the Ahsoka character in The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett. But, now Ashoka Tano is the star of her own series!
This newest addition to the Star Wars universe follows Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Knight, as she investigates a budding threat to an at-risk galaxy. Will she be successful in her search for Ezra Bridger? The world will soon know!
Starring Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ahsoka is rated TV-14. This Disney+ original series is set after the fall of the Empire, and you can catch the first two episodes beginning August 23. Then, each episode will air on Wednesdays.
New Meet
Last night, Disney hosted an event for fans of Star Wars around the world! At these fan events, viewers got to watch the first two episodes of this new original series. You can see what D23 did for D23 Members at Hollywood Studios in this post.
It looked like a great evening – with plenty of lightsabers to be seen! And, the news keeps getting better. During Disney’s coverage of this event, they shared Ahsoka will begin meeting fans very soon! Check out their special message:
This is a new day. A new beginning. Starting August 23, visitors of Batuu may encounter Ahsoka at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park.
This will likely be a very informal encounter where she roams around Batuu (like Mandalorian) vs a dedicated meet and greet. If you visit Disneyland, be on the lookout for her!
