We have more details regarding the tragic death of a Disney Guest who was found at the Contemporary Resort.

Tragic Death Earlier This Week

A Guest fell from a balcony on Wednesday, July 26 and died. The call came out shortly after at 5:30 in the morning. According to the details from the Orange County Sheriffs call list, the death occurred on North World Drive. This is the location of Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower.

The Contemporary Resort is located just steps from the Magic Kingdom and is one of the three deluxe resorts that surround Bay Lake.

The incident appears to have occurred at Bay Lake Tower according to Guest reports which began to circulate a few hours after the accident. One Guest received a call around 7:30 am that there was a medical emergency at the resort and not to go out onto the balcony.

Guests were not allowed to use the skybridge which connects Bay Lake Tower to the main building of the Contemporary. You can read the initial report in our first story.

We are now learning the man died from blunt force trauma. He was 39 years old and visiting Disney World from Wisconsin. Investigators ruled this as an accidental fall from a hotel room balcony.

In a statement to Fox News Digital on Friday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said, “On July 26, 2023 at 5:33 a.m., deputies responded to the Contemporary Resort after a call came in about a man found unresponsive on the hotel grounds.” The sheriffs office also said he was pronounced deceased on scene.

Disney did not respond to Fox News’ request for a comment.

Leave people be.This is a private matter, shouldn't be out there for the world to review. I was a hotel CM - people die at Disney, this is very disrespectful to family and friends and just don't understand why it is necessary to trade on grief.
