From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to its name in the entertainment industry today, The Walt Disney Company proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family. Walt Disney and his brother Roy created The Walt Disney Company on October 16, 1923.
Disney, 100 Years of Wonder, is the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Parks around the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary, with the heart of the celebration at Disneyland Resort.

Possibly Another Reason To Celebrate
Disney+ first launched on November 12, 2019. In honor of this debut date, Disney hosted the first-ever Disney+ Day on November 12, 2021. This was a great day with early park entry for Disney+ subscribers, great entertainment, free gifts, and fun characters as well.
Since the first Disney+ Day coincided with the launch of the Disney+ streaming service, we anticipated it following the same schedule in 2022. However, that was not the case at all! Disney+ Day was celebrated on September 8, 2022. This was the date leading into D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event!
Now guests are curious as to the possible date for Disney+ Day 2023. The Walt Disney Company just shared a video including many of our favorite movies throughout the years with the running theme that we are all connected in the great circle of life.
The tweet states, “In 100 days, we celebrate 100 years of Disney and the stories that bring us together.”
100 days from today just happens to be October 16th. This date continues to be a big one and now we wonder if Disney+ Day may also be included in the celebrations on this day. This date could make sense as Disney+ also offers special programming on Disney+ Day for all subscribers.
