Refurbishment Announced
Refurbishments are never fun, especially if you have an upcoming trip planned to the Disney Parks.
There is a loyal following of Disney fans for the beloved Haunted Mansion attraction. The idea of the Haunted Mansion varies at each Disney Park around the globe. From mansions to manors, this attraction is a favorite among many Disney guests.
As many Disney fans know, Disneyland Park in California offers a fun holiday overlay of the Haunted Mansion. Jack Skellington and his crew from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas transform the Haunted Mansion. The overlay is complete with a real-life gingerbread house located in the Grand Hall.
Closing Dates
This transformation causes the Haunted Mansion to close for a brief refurbishment. The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland will close for refurbishment on August 14th and will reopen on September 1, 2023, as a Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Each year a few new details are added. Guests can’t wait to enjoy this attraction each year to spot the new additions. This is without a doubt, one of the absolute best holiday overlays, and it does not disappoint every year.
This is a little disappointing for guests possibly visiting during this planned closure. Although Walt Disney World does not offer the same fun overlay, they will get a special Nightmare Before Christmas entertainment offering this year. Be sure to check out this exciting new addition HERE.

They better not eventually do to the Haunted Mansion like they did with Pirates by integrating the movie into the ride. They completely ruined Pirates. The Haunted Mansion movie coming out had me thinking they will eventually screw that ride up as well. I hope not.
