Annecy International Animated Film Festival
The Annecy International Animated Film Festival has established itself as the world’s largest event dedicated to animation. It brings together the most esteemed professionals from the sector to celebrate animation! Therefore, it is no surprise that presentations from Walt Disney Animation Studios are festival highlights year after year.
This year, Disney has some big news to share at the festival. The studio will present a brand new animated short, and it will make a HUGE announcement.
A New Animated Short
Walt Disney Animation Studios will be part of the Opening Ceremony for the event. During the ceremony, audiences will have a chance to screen a brand-new short film!
The film is directed by Trent Correy and Dan Abraham. We will let you know if we find out what it is about and when/where you can see it for yourself!
A HUGE Animated Series Announcement
Later, Disney will present details looking ahead to “the Next 100” years. Attendees will get a first look at the next chapter in Disney’s history! Additionally, the team has plans to share a big reveal!
There are plans to unveil an upcoming animated series that will usher in the next century of Disney storytelling. This series will be inspired by a well-known piece of Disney Intellectual Property. There will also be announcements of other new originals and upcoming content for kids/families.
