An unexpected closure at Disney World

An unexpected closure at Disney World

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

There have been so many changes for The Walt Disney Company and its theme parks recently. This unexpected closure at Disney World took us by surprise.

Recent Changes

Just in the past week, Disney announced they would cancel their big expansion project in Florida, close Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and also remove a lot of original content from Disney+ and Hulu.

The Walt Disney Company is now offering BIG incentives for guests to visit Walt Disney World this summer with special Theme Park ticket offers and great discounts on resort rooms. It seems that Disney is trying to cut costs where possible and encourage tourism in the Disney Parks where they make most of their profits.

Change seems imminent these days and more changes will no doubt be made across the Walt Disney Company in the coming months.

Castle Hub Cart

If you have ever been waiting for the Festival of Fantasy parade of Happily Ever After in the hub area, the smell of popcorn and churros may have lured you in for a snack while you wait. The refreshment cart in the castle hub area sells a variety of snacks like pretzels, ice cream, drinks, and more.

Unfortunately, it has been closed for several days now. There is a green cloth covering the cart, which you can see in the picture above.

We are unsure if this is a temporary closure or if it will be permanent. We hope if it does stay permanently closed something else will take its place!

Where to get your fix

While this news is disappointing, the good news is you do not have to go far for your fix! There are so many places in the Magic Kingdom to grab popcorn, pretzels, churros, and ice cream. You can grab popcorn on the other side of the hub towards Tomorrowland.

Adventureland and Frontierland have churros, pretzels, and popcorn as well.

If you are over in Fantasyland, head to Storybook Circus for popcorn, pretzels, and churros. Realistically, you should not need to walk more than a few minutes without passing a cart!
