Holiday Weekends at Disney

Holiday weekends at Disney World are typically pretty busy. High crowd levels are expected during the long weekend with many families off work and school. For many, summer break may kick off with this upcoming weekend.

We saw late last year that Disney predicted their most busiest times for 2023. This was reflected in their ticket prices, which can be read more about HERE.

If you take a look, you can see that starting Memorial Day weekend, ticket prices for this time of year increased compared to the prices shown at other times.

Last year during the holiday weekend, we saw pretty high crowd levels. This was not all too surprising considering all of the factors above and with the grand opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

This year, we have all the same factors heading into the holiday weekend along with not only Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind but also TRON Lightcycle Run!

What can we expect for this year? Let’s take a look.

Today, Disney Genie+ is available for purchase for $22. It is certainly not the lowest we have seen, but compared to nearly $30 when Disney is at its busiest time, that is not TOO bad.

Wait times are pretty typical for now as well. They are not the worst and seem to be pretty average for right now.

Disney Park Passes are widely available for all four theme parks and all ticket types for the upcoming holiday weekend!

When looking at the availability calendar for this coming weekend, we can see that all four theme parks are widely available for park reservations and for all ticket types. This is pretty unheard of for what may seem like a pretty busy holiday weekend.

We hope this means crowd levels for this weekend will remain pretty low and everyone at the parks can enjoy some smaller crowds than usual for this time of year!
