Last month, Bud Light found itself in quite the controversy surrounding an influencer and a sponsorship of its beer. Fans and drinkers of the beer became very upset over the fact that the influencer is transgender.

In doing so, many organizations, celebrities, and individuals are boycotting against Bud Light. Sales of the beer have plummeted in the weeks following the incident. Like opponents of Disney's involvement in political/social issues, many people just want companies to stick to what they know and stay out of these hot issues.

HOW does this affect Disney World? As mentioned above, sales plummeted after the incident and continue to do so. The boycott is NOT letting up.

One restaurant at Disney World just added Miller Lite in addition to offering Bud Light. Over at 50's Prime Time Cafe, you will notice both are an option on the menu. While Bud Light was not taken off the menu, the addition of a second option seems likely due to the lack of sales of Bud Light.

It remains to be seen whether or not more beer options will be added to other Disney World restaurants. They may be testing this before making it a more widespread option at other dining locations.

What do you think of this boycott? Be sure to share your kind and thoughtful comments below. Do you know someone who may be curious about how the boycott is affecting the theme parks? Pass this post along to them.

  1. Why is this even a discussion for a Disney newsletter? People need to chill out and just let people live their lives.

  2. I refuse to buy Bud Light I was loyal to the company for 40-50 years. No Budweiser products for me I have switched to yuengling. Tired of companies supporting woke agenda also I have started boycotting Target. The list may get long.

  3. Blue Moon is not an AB/InBev product. Blue Moon is owned by Coors. More specifically Miller/Coors now that they have merged.

  4. It's not about Bud Lite partnering with a man transitioning to a woman. It's about Bud Lite partnering with a man transitioning to a girl. Most of his audience isn't old enough to legally drink. The bottom line is, do we tolerate advertising alcohol to children? Where does tolerance end?

  5. Money talks! Budweiser , now target have no right pushing any agenda on the public! Continue to boycott and let other companies know that we will not be bullied!!

  6. AB like Disney need to go us on keeping their customers happy rather than floating the newest liberal agenda. Both are currently losing customers and hurting their investors for social absurd social issues. Hopefully other companies learn from their mistakes.

  7. Stella Artois and Blue Moon are both AB/InBev products. So it is not much of a boycott if they switch from low profit margin products like Bud Light to high profit margin products like their premium beers.

  8. First, consider offering Yuengling beers. 100% American owned and brewed for over 100 years! They have a great selection. Second - Stay out of overt politics and offer what you do best; family entertainment! If you want to support a cause, by all means so so and donate to it, but don't shove your corporate choices in our faces!

  9. People and company shareholders would like companies to stay out of politics. Companies would be wise to consider that there can be valid arguments on both sides if an issue. A few company officials agendas may not be in keeping with a large number of their customers and stockholders. Bud Light's situation should be a wake up call fo them.

  10. Disney will adjust its product mix as profits fall. If the gay/transgender trend begins to cost profits, you will see the topic disappear from Disney. In the meantime, Dylan is making a whole lot of money either being a transgender or pretending to be one to rake in the cash.
