A permanent meet and greet for Mirabel and Bruno?! Yes!
Encanto
If you have not seen the film or caught the previews, Encanto introduces audiences to the Madrigal family. This magical family lives hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a delightful place called Encanto. The magic of the Encanto blessed every child in the family with a unique gift, except Mirabel.
However, she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger and realizes she could be the only hope.
Disney really knocked it out of the park with this one! Encanto is wildly successful with an amazing storyline, catchy songs, and sweet and quirky Mirabel. I don’t believe Disney has seen such success since Frozen in 2012. Wouldn’t it be great to see more Encanto?
Mirabel and Bruno
Right now, it’s a little hard to meet Mirabel. She currently meets at Disneyland Park on a regular basis, but at Disney World you can only catch her on the Adventure Friends cavalcade. She will be making her way over to replace Merida soon, but that will not happen until later in 2023.
Bruno, on the other hand, is impossible to meet! He met for the Oogie Boogie Bash in 2022 at Disney’s California Adventure. Unfortunately, he has had no other meet and greet opportunities.
Fortunately, Disney Guests can meet both very soon!
New Encanto Experience
Disney Cruise Line revealed “An Encanto Celebration” that will be added to the newly enhanced Disney Magic. “Designed to engage families through music, crafts and storytelling,” the experience also includes an opportunity to meet Mirabel and Bruno as well as take photos with them!
That’s not all! Disney and Pixar’s Soul is the inspiration for a new lounge named “The Soul Cat Lounge.” This new lounge will replace the Promenade Lounge.
Updates to concierge areas also took place. This includes a Moana-inspired lounge and an outdoor covered seating area. Disney also updated all concierge suites. In addition, the Magic was also upgraded to include shore power technology. This allows the ship to use a port’s electrical grid (where available).
