This event brought some extremely rare characters including:

  • Main Street: Princess Minnie and Princess Daisy
  • Adventureland: Jasmine and Moana (rare)
  • New Orleans Square: Tiana
  • Frontierland: Pocahontas
  • Tomorrowland: Princess Leia (very rare!!!)
  • Fantasyland: Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Elena of Avalor, Kida of Atlantis: the Lost Empire (very rare!!), Merida, Mulan, Princess Atta (very rare!), Sofia the First, and Snow White

The question is how long would you be willing to wait for these rare characters?

Extremely Long Character Lines

One of the most rare characters at the event is without a doubt, Princess Leia. Guests began lining up 4 hours before the event to be first in line to meet Princess Leia. A Cast Member shared that at 8:00 pm there were 120 people in line and this was an hour before she first appeared.

Once Princess Leia began greeting guests, her line was a staggering 3 hours long. The lines moved fairly quickly offering a couple of photos, but no character autographs.

The second longest line of the evening was at the Royal Hall. At this location, guests could meet Belle, Cinderella, and Aurora. Guests waited in a two-hour line for these princesses that offered a very brief interaction.

Once Princess Leia began greeting guests, her line was a staggering 3 hours long. The lines moved fairly quickly offering a couple of photos, but no character autographs.

Finally, the princesses with the next highest wait times included Jasmine, Pocahontas, Tiana, and Moana. These princesses would greet guests for 30 minutes and then take a 20-minute break. This created long lines for guests hoping to meet these princesses.

Great Surprise

Apart from meeting Disney Princesses, guests could also see another rare Disney Princess arrive with royal fanfare. About every 15 minutes, Giselle from Disney’s Enchanted would make her royal appearance in a horse-drawn carriage.

This was a great surprise for guests. Unfortunately, this event did not offer as much entertainment and fun photo opportunities apart from characters as with other After Dark events. This could be the reason for the extremely long line for characters.

All in all, this was a great event for Character Locators who were willing to be a bit patient in long lines.
