New schedule for popular Star Wars meet and greets

Star Wars characters are some of the most popular meet and greets. With this new schedule you have more time to get those photographs!

Star Wars Launch Bay

Launch Bay is a combination of Star Wars character meet and greets, museum, and a short film. The Disney World website describes it as:

Explore immersive exhibits of costumes, models, concept artwork and actual movie props—as well as authentic replicas created just for Star Wars Launch Bay. Watch an exclusive short documentary on the creative team behind the ever-evolving story. Explore a Cantina and other settings inspired by the films, then share a furry embrace with Chewbacca, Han Solo’s trusty sidekick.

Several character meet and greet opportunities are present at Launch Bay, including:

BB-8
Darth Vader
Chewbacca

Outside of Galaxy’s Edge, this is the only other spot within the four theme parks that has Star Wars experiences. If you ask me, this is a bit out of place now with the opening of Galaxy’s Edge in 2019. It is surrounded by Disney Jr character meets and attractions.

Schedule Change

The schedule for the above meet and greets is now changing. Previously, Launch Bay was open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. This made it a bit hard if your schedule was filled with other items during your visit.

Now, Launch Bay is open until 7:00 pm every day. This gives you two more hours to grab photos with your favorite Star Wars characters. Be sure to add this onto your Character Locator touring strategy! You will also find full menus, current wait times, helpful tips for attractions and characters, and personalizable itineraries.
