More Characters are Returning
We have seen the return of many of our favorite characters at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is truly the return of what makes the Disney Parks so magical.
On a recent visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we met with our favorite Star Wars characters at Star Wars Launch Bay. Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and BB8 are greeting guests at this location.
One thing to note is that wait times do not appear on the My Disney Experience app. There is an automated wait time board located near the entrance of Launch Bay. We found these wait times to be a bit inflated. During our visit, it seemed that the actual wait time was roughly half of the estimated wait time.

Photos with Favorite Characters
Unfortunately, PhotoPass photographers have not returned to this location. If you want to have your photo taken, you have two options. A member of your traveling party can take your photo or you can ask a friendly Cast Member to take photos for you. This is entirely dependent upon if they feel comfortable with this.
When we recently visited our favorite Star Wars characters, we noticed automated camera boxes in place. At that time, these automated camera boxes were not in operation. Even when/if they become available, we are not impressed.

Character Sightings
Back in June, we shared that there is now no social distancing with Star Wars characters. This type of interaction is what many guests greatly missed when the parks first reopened.
Our favorite Star Wars characters are roaming the streets throughout Galaxy’s Edge. On our recent trip, we saw both Rey and Chewbacca near the Millennium Falcon. Kilo Ren and Storm Troopers also came marching down the streets.
It is great to have so many opportunities to interact with our favorite Star Wars characters once again.
