Witnesses report a large fire last night during this fireworks show. We have the video plus what Disney had to say about the fire.
The Epcot transformation comes to life with Harmonious, one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for Disney Parks. The show is a beautifully crafted medley of classic Disney music and visuals reinterpreted by a culturally diverse group of 240 artists from all around the world.
When watching Harmonious. EPCOT Guests gather on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon are treated to a magnificent cultural symphony, dramatizing the unifying power of story and song. It’s really a remarkable show that artists from around the world perform.
There are also Dining Packages available to enjoy this nighttime show. Check out our full review of this HERE.
Whether you love Harmonious or not, there’s one thing most people agree on. All of the barges that came with this show are a huge eye sore! I (Susan) don’t like the way they block the view from the beautiful World Showcase Pavilions. Although, I’ll be sad to see the show end, I look forward to having the barges removed.
Recently at the D23 Expo, they announced the Disney World Company’s 100th anniversary plans. As part of the celebration, an all-new nighttime show is coming to Epcot later in 2023.
Fire Breaks Out
An EPCOT barge caught fire after last night’s performance of “Harmonious” at EPCOT. However, the fire only impacted a fireworks launch platform. Per Disney, “A fireworks launch platform had a contained fire after Friday’s show and was extinguished.”
