Part of Disney’s holiday celebration includes meeting Santa. This year, he will have a completely new area for meeting guests.
Festival of the Holidays
The holiday season is such a fun time to visit Disney World. During EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, guests can enjoy the beautiful candlelight processional, take part in a fun scavenger hunt, and enjoy great entertainment!

While Magic Kingdom is the first to decorate far the holiday season, EPCOT begins later in November. If you haven’t already done so, mark your calendars and make your Park Reservations. Festival of the Holidays will begin on November 25, 2022.
Storytellers Around World Showcase
One special treat while visiting Epcot during the Festival of the Holidays is seeing various storytellers around the World Showcase. These fun performers celebrate the traditions in each country represented. My (Susan) favorite last year was the storytellers at Norway. American Adventure Pavilion
Whether you’re looking for traditional American food or just want a cool place to relax, you’ll find that and so much more at the America World Showcase pavilion. Previously, guests met Santa Claus here.
Not only that, but the American Gardens Theater almost always has a performance going. Grab a bite to eat and an American beverage, then take a seat and enjoy the show. I love the tribute to American history here.
Santa’s New Location
One of the downsides to trying to meet the World Showcase storytellers is the weather. Last year, I attempted to meet them all, but it began misting. Then, they all disappeared. While I understand they can’t (and shouldn’t) get wet, I was disappointed.
This year Disney makes it easier to meet Santa Claus that is not weather dependent! Santa will meet guests at the Odyssey Pavilion. This is the indoor location that previously held the EPCOT preview center between the front of the park and World Showcase.

Get ready to meet Santa from on select dates from November 25 to December 24. Santa meets every day at here at the following times:
- 11:00am
- 12:30pm
- 2:00pm
- 3:30pm
- 5:00pm
- 6:00pm
Each performance lasts 60 minutes.
