Storyliving Community
Back in February, Disney first announced that they would begin testing a new community type in California that allows you to live in the “Disney Bubble” all the time. Called “Storyliving by Disney“, this community is run by the same division that oversees the theme parks and cruise lines.
It includes 1,900 houses and is located just outside Palm Springs, California in a place called Rancho Mirage. Disney promises more communities to come! You can read all about the amazing amenities and housing options that are available HERE.
This was Walt Disney’s original vision for EPCOT to create a residential community. Many Disney fans were ecstatic to learn of this new residential community and wondered when work would begin. We have great news for the beginning of this new project.
The first location chosen for this Storyliving community is the Coachella Valley. In April 2022, a big milestone was reached as ground broke for this first community.
First Look at Storyliving
Disney shares a brand new video where we can see what Storyliving will look like. The video starts by sharing “The Disney Touch.” This “Disney Touch” is what brings Disney fans back to the parks year after year.
With Disney Storyliving, “Disney storytelling takes on a personal style.” In this new Storyliving Community, Disney claims that you can “live your best life.” This new community appears to foster a common friendship among all residents with the promise that more communities will be developed.
Each community will receive that undeniable “Disney Touch” to make it truly a dream come true.
“There is incredible demand for all things Disney. Our fans continue to look for new ways to engage with us, to keep Disney as part of their lives,” says Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney parks, experiences, and products. At the branded communities, he adds, “you can be part of Disney all of the time.”
