Disney Genie is the new system that was introduced to Walt Disney World in October 2021. When first introduced, Disney shared that the Disney Genie’s Tip Board is full of information on how to have your best day ever. Here you can find showtimes, dining times, and estimated wait times for every aspect of your Disney day.

You can order food, make dining reservations, check into restaurants, and request to join a virtual queue. It definitely appears that Disney Genie will be with us for quite a while. The question is does this “free” option help guests to have the best day ever?

Some guests who recently visited Walt Disney World may notice a new feature on the My Disney Experience app. On the My Disney Experience app, select guests are offered an opportunity to take part in a brief questionnaire regarding the effectiveness of Disney Genie in the parks.

The first two questions allow guests to share “How helpful did you find the recommendations from the Disney Genie My Day Feature?” Guests are then asked how many of the recommended experiences were enjoyed. Many guests are not interested in many of the “suggestions” offered by Disney Genie.

Questions then ask if guests enjoyed these experiences at the times suggested by Disney Genie. Many times the suggestions on Disney Genie do not include attractions or experiences that most guests would choose on their own.

The fourth question asks if this is the first time guests enjoyed some of these experiences.

Possibly the most interesting question is how often the surveyor visits the Disney Parks. As many Disney guests have shared that the Disney Genie option is not helpful, this may be a great opportunity for Disney Parks to improve this new system.
