The day has arrived and Disney Genie is now available once you update your My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World. Find out how this looks when customizing your “Perfect Park Day.”
Disney Genie
There is so much to take in with the different levels of Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and also the Individual Lightning Lane. Be sure to check out Monica’s article where she helps explain each aspect of this new system.
The Disney Genie is a free system that helps to develop suggested touring plans for your day in the Parks. This will soon be available for use through the My Disney Experience app.
How to Create your Top Picks
This morning I was able to look at creating my Top Park Picks. The first screen that I came to allowed me to select all members of my traveling party.
This only included those members of my traveling party that also had Park Pass Reservations and Tickets for this day.
I was able to pick 8 attractions that we would like to add to our Top Picks. After I had selected 8 I was no longer able to select additional attractions unless I canceled another attraction. The screen showed “Disney Genie loves the enthusiasm, but you only need to choose a few experiences per category to get started.”
After I selected 8 attractions, it showed “Disney Genie loves the enthusiasm, but you only need to choose a few experiences per category to get started.”
I was then directed to a screen that allowed me to choose our additional interests. In this category I was able to choose 10 options that were most appealing.
These included Disney Favorites where you can select your favorite characters. Park Interests includes Character Meet & Greets, live entertainment, thrill rides, and more. You can also select on the last tab your Dining Interests.
This now leads you to yet another screen where you can note if you have any height requirements or accessibility concerns.
This is helpful especially for parents with younger children to help navigate which rides your young prince or princess will be able to enjoy based on current height requirements.
Preparing before you arrive
It is still a little bit of time before our next Disney trip. Today, I was able to make my selections, but it shows that the only thing that I can really select at this time is dining reservations.
It shows that in 22 days Disney Genie will then be able to find the best itinerary for my Perfect Park Day.
