Something new is popping up which may indicate the return of the Disney Dining Plan. What do you think it means?
Disney Dining Plan
Remember those? It’s been a long two years without the dining plan, and Guests are ready for its return! The Dining Plans were temporarily paused with the reopening of the parks, likely due to the lack of character dining and number of restaurants open in general.
Disney has gone so far in the past to say that yes, the Dining Plans will return at some point, but we do not know when that will occur.
Now that Disney World is full speed ahead towards normal, many of us are even more anxious to get the meal credit system back. It’s not exactly easy or budget-friendly to pay for your meals and snacks while on vacation, and the convenience of the plan is desirable for many planning their trips.
Returning soon?
You may remember there was a UK offer that included the Disney Dining Plan. While it is not exactly the same as it was before, it gave us great hope it may return at some point. Unfortunately, that was almost an entire year ago, and we still have no word yet.
While social media can be a very difficult and hard space, it can also prove to be beneficial. A TikTok video from @mydisneyvibes mentions the Disney Dining Plan. In the video, the user shares that a message popped up on a DVC waitlist reservation for Riviera Resort.
It states: Any Disney Dining Plan attached to the reservation will be cancelled and refunded if your Waitlist becomes available.
Now, I (Monica) don’t have DVC so I cannot confirm any of this, but the user does share it is a new message that she has not seen before when booking DVC reservations.
You can either choose to take this with a grain of salt or a promise that maybe the return of the Disney Dining Plan is just around the corner. Almost every single restaurant has reopened, so hopefully we will see more character dining announcements as well. We will be sure to share any information that comes our way!

I don't think the dining plan will be back until the food prices stabilize. Disney makes a lot of money off the dining plan, and It's difficult for Disney to price it in this period of rising inflation.

I certainly hope not. Boo Bash is such a waste for the short time you get, plus younger kids can't appreciate it as they usually pass out by then. The Not So Scary Party was immensely better.

DVC waitlist reservations have always had this caveat for dining and other things like park reservations

Any news about MNSSHP returning? Before covid, tickets were always on sale by now.

Now that Disney is 60 day booking vs 180 day booking we probably won't hear anything until May. They announced Boo Bash in May last year and tickets went on sale in June. I would suspect the same for this year regardless of whether its MNSSHP or Boo Bash. For what it's worth I think it will be Boo Bash again.
