Walt Disney World Marathon weekend registration
Today is the first day registration is open for Walt Disney World’s Marathon. More details regarding dates and registration can be found HERE. Even more details for the events and to see what BIG thing is returning this year can also be seen in this POST.
With Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration and runDisney celebrating their 30th year of the event, it seems like this is a huge year for runDisney and all participants!
However, with all of the excitement came a lot of frustration when guests went to register this morning. runDisney’s website crashed! While registration was supposed to open at 10:00 a.m. ET, the website went down leaving guests frustrated and facing an extended delay in registering for events.
Registration Update
It seems runDisney’s website was down for a good few hours up until at least 12:30 p.m. ET. That’s well past two hours from when the event was supposed to open for registration.
As of almost 1:23 pm ET, it appears as if the technical issues have been fixed and runDisney’s website is back up and running!
Registration for runDisney’s Walt Disney World marathon weekend is now open!
Registration for the Walt Disney World 5K and 10K appear to have already sold out at this time, but events for the following are still open:
- Walt Disney World Half Marathon
- Walt Disney World Marathon
- Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge
- Dopey Challenge
- Disney Castaway Cay Challenge
RUN don’t walk and register for any of these events!
