Any hopeful Marathon Weekend runners out there? Get ready because it’s almost time to register for the 2023 Marathon Weekend races! Read on for all the details on race themes and prices.
Marathon Weekend
Wow! Can you believe that it will be 30 years the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend has been running? That sure is something to celebrate!
The 50th Walt Disney World Resort Anniversary celebration is still being celebrated and the 30th Anniversary of this amazing race weekend will sure to be a great time. What better way to celebrate than with a 90’s retro vibe! You will see some iconic characters and some of runDisney throughout the past!
Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration begins April 12, 2022, at 10:00 AM EST.
General Registration opens April 19, 2022, at 10:00 AM EST.
5K – Pluto
Our favorite pup is the showcase for the 5K, PLUTO! He has been the theme for the 5K for a few years now. I love him for this race!
Registration fee varies based on the date of purchase:
- April 19 through September 19, 2022: $103.40
- September 20 through December 29, 2022: $114.06
Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.
10K – Chip and Dale
This is the race that always seems to have a change in the main character. For 2023 we will see Chip and Dale. I love this dynamic duo!
Registration fee varies based on the date of purchase:
- April 19 through September 19, 2022: $146.04
- September 20 through December 29, 2022: $156.70
Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.
Half Marathon – Donald and Daisy
Our favorite ducks are back to headline the Half Marathon, Donald and Daisy!

Marathon – Mickey and Minnie

Goofy Challenge (Half Marathon and Full Marathon)
Think you are up for the challenge? Goofy dares you to take on the Half and Full Marathon in one race weekend!

- September 20 through December 29, 2022: $442.39
Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.
Dopey Challenge (5k, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon)
Feeling a little Dopey? You may after running every race of Marathon Weekend! The Dopey Challenge will celebrate 10 Years Running in 2023! This will sure to be a hot item, so be sure to register early.
Registration fee varies based on the date of purchase:
- April 19 through September 19, 2022: $660.92
- September 20 through December 29, 2022: $671.58
Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.
A BIG Return To The Weekend
The Castaway Cay Challenge is BACK!
Need a little more to your race-cation? Add on a cruise and participate in the Castaway Cay 5K on Disney’s private island. Runners must participate in one of Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 5K or longer event, plus the Castaway Cay 5K in order to receive the Castaway Cay Challenge medal.
This race is held the Monday after Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Be sure to book your cruise for January 9, 2023 on the Disney Wish.
You MUST book your cruise first as your will need your Cruise Reservation Number when registering for the race!
