A fire occurred during a nighttime show at Disney World. Were you there when this happened?
Fires at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is no stranger to incidents involving fire. There have actually been quite a few lately. Last month, a small fire occurred at the Magic Kingdom during their nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment. Another incident happened during a stage show which caused the show to come to a sudden halt.
Back in December, guests saw a rare sight of fire trucks rushing down Main Street after an incident in the Magic Kingdom.
Harmonious
If you have seen Harmonious, you know that the show includes lights, pyrotechnics and a lot of other spectacular effects.
Disney gives the following description for their popular new nighttime show of Harmonious:
“This magnificent new show brings to World Showcase Lagoon an innovative combination of floating giant screens, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers in a 360-degree view. Enter amazing worlds inspired by Moana, Aladdin, Coco, Brave, The Lion King, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog and other classic stories.
Colorful images and effects dance and change as Harmonious weaves familiar Disney music and stories together in brand-new ways. Through unique perspectives as diverse as the world itself, Disney songs hop from language to language as the show brings people from different parts of the world together to unlock the magic of possibility.”
During the Harmonious show at EPCOT on the evening of April 11th, a small fire was spotted towards the end of the show. Twitter user, Nakai @nakai_barnor, shared a video of the incident. In the video you can see sparks and a small fire near the edge of the World Showcase Lagoon.
Many guests can be seen in the video but appear to be unphased about what is happening. Perhaps they think it’s just part of the show?

We are not sure what exactly happened to start the small fire, but with a show that has as many pyrotechnics and effects, incidents like these are likely to happen. It does not seem like anyone was hurt and hopefully Disney took care of the situation quickly and everyone went back to their resorts or home safe.
