Joffrey’s vs Starbucks is a hot debate among Disney park goers. Starbucks is coming to a new location at Disney World this spring!

Back in November, Disney shared a new restaurant would open at Epcot. Epcot’s new restaurant will be located in World Celebration. It will sit just outside of Creations Shop, Epcot’s newly re-imagined flagship gift shop.

The restaurant will be called Connections Café and Eatery. Josh D’amaro stated that, “It is going to be incredibly cool.” The idea of the cafe is that it brings people together around the common unifier of food. Every design element will work together to tell a story.

It is a quick service restaurant, which is fantastic news if you do not want to have to grab a reservation to eat there! I can’t wait to see what sort of options will be available. Our latest update shows new marquee signs that were installed on the exterior. You can read about that HERE.

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shares on Instagram that Connections Cafe will be home to another Starbucks location on property. Like other Starbucks locations at Disney World, it will fit in with its surroundings. This will be the official home for the coffee company at Epcot.

“One very important detail I want to share about Connections Café, is that it will be the future home of Starbucks at EPCOT when the location opens this spring! Like other Starbucks locations inside our theme parks, this Starbucks will be designed to fit the theme of its surroundings – but more of those details to come later on.”

Connections Cafe and Eatery will open this spring. Guest Relations is temporarily closing this spring. Upon reopening, we should hopefully be able to cross from World Nature to World Discovery without having to follow to the rat maze. Once Guardians of the Galaxy and Connections Cafe opens, most of this space will feel “complete.”

We are very excited to see all the new projects come to life at Epcot in the coming months! Are you looking forward to the new Connections Cafe? Let us know in the comments below and on Facebook.
