We may have just taken down our Christmas decorations, but a new holiday sequel has just been confirmed. Check out the new storyline and returning character for this holiday classic film series.
Christmas Films
Many families have a list of favorite holiday films that they like to watch every Christmas season. A few of our favorite Disney films include:
- Noelle
- The Santa Clause Trilogy – my (Donna) family likes to have a movie marathon with these movies on Christmas Eve
- Olaf’s Frozen Adventure
- Snowglobe
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Decorating Disney- Holiday Magic
- The Muppet Christmas Carol
- Babes in Toyland
Of course, your family may want to add a few more films to this list. The great news is that now we can all add another film.
For years, we have heard rumors that a Santa Clause 4 may be in the works. We now have confirmation of this new film and confirmation of one returning star. We couldn’t be happier.
Santa Clause 4
Today Disney+ announced that Tim Allen (the star of the previous Santa Clause films) will once again dust off his Santa suit and resume his role as Santa Clause.
In the previous Santa Clause films they have covered the transformation of Scott Calvin into Santa Claus in the first film. In Santa Clause 2, we see the “Mrs. Clause” where Santa must find a wife by Christmas.
Today Disney+ announced that Tim Allen (the star of the previous Santa Clause films) will once again dust off his Santa suit and resume his role as Santa Clause.
In Santa Clause 3, there is an “Escape Clause” where Santa could choose to return to his former life as if he had never been Santa at all. At the end of this film, Santa and Mrs. Clause welcome their baby, Buddy Claus.
So where could the storyline possible pick up for Santa Clause 4? D23 shares, “In the Disney+ series, Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole.”
“With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.”
Are you excited for Santa Clause 4? Do you think it wouldn’t be the same without Tim Allen? Does your family watch all 3 Santa Clause movies at Christmas? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
