As dates get closer, Disney often extends park hours. Check out the details on the latest January theme park changes.
Recent Park Hour Updates
Just a few days ago Disney released new hours through the middle of March!
With the start of spring, the International Flower and Garden Festival, and the arrival of spring break crowds, keeping track of park hours helps create and make adjustments to your touring strategy. Character Locator is an excellent resource for park hours, crowd levels, touring plans, and more!
Hollywood Studios
Hours for this park remain unchanged from previous hours we have seen. Hollywood Studios will operate from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm for the remainder of the month of January. Onsite guests can catch their favorite attractions as early as 8:30 am. We’ll share any changes Disney makes to park hours if they’re released.
Park hopping begins at 2:00 pm like the other parks. Unfortunately, Hollywood Studios still does not participate in extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom’s theme park operates from 8:00am until 7:00pm today, January 6 through January 21. After that, the theme park stays open an hour later! Starting January 22, Disney’s Animal Kingdom hours are 8:00am until 8:00pm. This additional hour runs through January 29.
Park hopping begins at 2:00 pm like the other parks. Unfortunately, Animal Kingdom does not participate in extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests either. But having that extra evening hour until 8:00pm allows guests to enjoy the magical Tree of Life and Pandora at night.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom continues opening at 9:00am daily for the rest of January. Onsite guests can enter the theme park as early as 8:30 am. However, a few nights have extended evening hours. On January 23 and 27, Magic Kingdom closes at 9:00pm instead of 8:00pm.
Then, on January 24, 28, and 29, theme park goers can enjoy this wonderful park until 10:00pm. I (Susan) love these later park hours!
As with other Disney World theme parks, ark hopping begins at 2:00 pm. Deluxe guests have extended hours from 9:00 – 11:00pm on Wednesdays.

Epcot
Epcot’s hours remain 10:00am until 9:00pm for the remainder of January. with onsite guests entering at 9:30am. On our (Susan and husband) visit, we had a low Remy boarding group and were able to ride it first thing with early entry! No wait at all!! Epcot offers Deluxe Resort guests extended hours on Mondays in January from 9:00 – 11:00pm.
