We have news today of another resort that will be eligible for Disney’s new Early Theme Park Entry Program! We are glad to see that this resort has finally been included in this perk!

Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

Walt Disney’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is going be one spectacular 18-month event! Beginning October 1st, 2021 guests will be treated to brand a new firework celebration at Magic Kingdom, Harmonious at EPCOT, and NEW character costumes and cavalcades!

We will also see brand new daytime show Disney KiteTails” premiere at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and all of the Disney Parks icons will get a special makeover.

Early Park Entry

Disney announced at the beginning of the year that Extra Magic Hours would be retired. In their place would be a brand new program called Early Theme Park Entry.

This perk is specifically for on-site resort guests and will allow 30 minutes early entry into ANY park EVERY DAY. Guests must have proof of valid theme park admission, park reservation and Resort ID.

Just a few days ago, we posted that Disney had released the list of which hotels would be eligible for this new program. One resort in particular was noticeably missing from the list, however.

Shades of Green

Shades of Green is the military-only hotel on Disney property. It’s a beautiful resort that offers great accommodations to our service men and woman. You can read Monica’s full review of this resort HERE!

We thought it strange that Shades of Green was originally omitted from the list of on-sites resorts eligible to participate in the Early Entry Program. Well, today this wrong has been corrected!

Shades of Green Resort posted an official announcement on their Facebook page that stated they will now be one of the resorts eligible for Early Theme Park Entry!

Beginning Oct 1st, Shades of Green resort guest will be able to use Early Theme Park Entry!

What do you think of this addition? Are you and your family frequent guests at Shades of Green? Let us know in the comment below or on Facebook  if you are excited for this new perk!

Fingers crossed for Swan and Dolphin. They’re almost Disney resorts; they are on property.

Second that on the Swan & Dolphin. We have an eight night stay in December there - hate to cancel but will need to if we can’t rope drop anything during the crowded holiday season - especially with the 50th celebration.

I sure hope The Swan and Dolphin are added. Seems crazy that the B Resort is on there but not Swan and Dolphin especially when they are right at the boardway. Any speculation if they will be added?
