Even more Annual Passes are now being sold to select Guests! This gives us hope that Disney will resume new purchases for everyone.

Annual Passes

With the pandemic really messing things up (wow, that’s the understatement of the century), Disney had to rethink Annual Passes. The parks were closed for 4 months, and Disney had to figure out how to compensate passholders for that time. Not to mention water parks and park hopping were not part of the initial reopening phase. They also allowed people to cancel their annual pass because different people have different comfort levels with traveling.

2021 has just begun and Disney cannot see into the future so there is no telling what this year and beyond will look like pandemic-wise.

New Purchases

Fortunately, we have begun to see signs of hope that one day Disney will resume new Annual Pass purchases for all Guests.

Currently, Guests who have just turned 3 years old can be issued an Annual Pass as long as everyone else in the immediate family has one.

Guests who canceled their Annual Pass during the closure are also eligible to re-purchase a new one. This is done on a case-by-case basis. You will need to get in touch with Guest Relations or a Cast Member over the phone.

UK Residents

UK residents are now another group of people who are able to purchase new Annual Passes. You can see in the screenshot above (taken this morning, March 15) that the Platinum Pass can be purchased for $1,195.

UK residents can now purchase new annual passes.

Included is:

  • Admission for a year to all 4 theme parks (no blockout dates)
  • Visit more than one theme park on the same day
  • Includes Disney PhotoPass downloads
  • Up to 20% off on select dining
  • Up to 20% off select merchandise in store
  • Standard theme park parking

Although international travel is still restrictive, we hope this means Disney will soon allow the ability for anyone to purchase a new Annual Pass.

  1. As far as UK guests much like the US website and app options if it even allows you to put the pass in your cart, checking out will not be an option.

  2. I agree. Why would people OUTSIDE of the US be offered AP before Americans…you know, the people who an actually travel to the parks. Very odd. It they also get little incentives and gifts we don’t get when they book their trips vs when we book ours. Oh well. Guess I’ll keep renewing my AP so I don’t lose it!

  3. It’s odd that they are offering annual passes to UK residents while they can not yet use them even though they are paying. It seems like offering them to DVC members would have been a first choice.

  4. Can you confirm anyone in the UK can actually purchase one? After I hit purchase it takes me to the “Returning to the World of Magic” screen.
