Hocus Pocus Reunion
Sanderson sister fans everywhere have something to celebrate. The 3 witches are getting back together for a Hocus Pocus reunion.
Hocus Pocus is a 1993 Disney film that has a fandom all its own. The film tells the story of the teenagers who accidentally unleash a coven of witches on Salem Massachusetts.
The Trio of wicked sisters, played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy became wildly popular. In fact, they established such a fan base that Disney devoted a portion of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to a stage show starring the Sanderson sisters themselves.
While fans are unable to enjoy the live stage show this year, they can enjoy a Hocus Pocus reunion with the original cast! The New York Restoration Project is hosting the one-time virtual event on October 30, 2020.
The event called “In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover” is $10, and proceeds benefit the project. For the full story click here.
Sneak Peeks from The Cast!
Recently, Bette Midler, better know to fans as Winifred Sanderson, took to Instagram to promote the cause. She gave fans a little sneak peek at the reunion.
Middler states, “‘In Search of the Sanderson Sisters’ is the best thing to happen to #Halloween since Hocus Pocus + Reeses Pieces” (2020). She also included several photos in her posts.
Two of the posts feature the three stars of the show striking various poses. Are you ready for them to put a spell on you?
Additionally, she posted a photo of her costar Sarah Jessica Parker hanging out behind the scenes. We can’t wait to see her bring back Sarah Sanderson.
She also dropped some cool video footage of the creation of Billy Butcherson. Doug Jones has returned to play Winifreds late ex-boyfriend, and we can’t wait to hear what he has to say!
