Disney World is rolling out park hours for December! What do you think of these new hours?
December at Disney World
Disney recently shared details about what the holiday season will look like across the theme parks and resorts. Here is a brief recap:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional will NOT take place this year.
However, we can still expect decor to pop up around the parks. Specifically, Cinderella Castle will look a bit different this year.
Santa and his friends will appear at Magic Kingdom as well – likely in the form of Character Cavalcades.
Holiday seasonal dining will happen once again at Hollywood & Vine. I (Monica) am excited to try dinner there for the first time and see my favorite friends in some festive outfits!
A sampling of Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays will still happen this year. We can expect Voices of Liberty and JOYFUL! to return.
Disney Springs and the resorts will also be decked out for the holiday season. Unfortunately, the famous gingerbread displays will not appear this year.
The holiday season at Walt Disney World will run November 6 to December 30. More details on all things Christmas can be found HERE.
Disney has also shared a holiday commercial, which can be viewed HERE.

With all that said, many Guests are getting excited for the holidays at Disney World. Yes, things will certainly look different this year. But for many families who frequently visit Mickey Mouse, it provides an opportunity to experience the parks differently.

Did you know Kenny has all park hours listed on Character Locator? Not only that but he also advises which parks are best (and worst) to visit each day.
I have been a subscriber of Character Locator for over 6 years, and I always appreciate this feature when planning my trips. I also follow his touring plans as well as tips for various attractions.
Thanks to the tips on Character Locator, I’m a Galactic Hero for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin!
Will you be visiting Disney World during the first week of December? Tell us what you think of these park hours over on the Facebook page!
Thank you for your prompt response. I have used your crowd calendars numerous times over the years. Living in PA limits our visits. we have been to Disney World almost 20 times ever since they opened. Went to Disneyland in 1972.
My most sincere apologies. i requested information and was away for almost a week. When i returned i unfortunately by error erased all my incoming e-mails. The question was, in December my wife and i will be in Disney World 7 Dec to 16 Dec. Will Kenny the Pirate have a crowd calendar for the month of December or is the crowd calendar no longer needed due to the limited admissions for crowds?
That will be available when Disney releases park hours
Will the storytelling go on at world showcase countries? I’m assuming no, since the potential gathering, but I haven’t seen direct mention of them anywhere
We haven’t heard any more information
XYL and I will be there Dec 7 till Dec 16 will you be publishing a crowd calendar as before, or is the crowd calendar not germane due to covid 19’s limited park guest numbers at 35%?
Hours haven’t been released for those dates yet. Kenny will be sure to update Character Locator as needed.
