As with the Disney Parks and Resorts around the globe, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa closed to all Guests in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A reopening date was set for April 1st, but clearly that didn’t happen.
The Disney Aulani website states, “Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is currently closed and a reopening date has not been identified.” The real question is, when will they possibly reopen?

Reopening of Aulani
Hawaii governor, David Iger, extended the 14-day quarantine for out-of-state visitors. This quarantine will be in place until October 1st at the earliest.
Hawaii will have a 14-Day quarantine for out-of-state guests until at least october 1st.
Regarding the reopening of Aulani, the Disney website states:
“Upon reopening, Aulani Resort rooms, restaurants and other locations may be limited in capacity and subject to restricted availability or closure based on direction from the health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing.”
“Furthermore, experiences, services and amenities may be modified, have limited availability or remain closed. Offerings are not guaranteed. Aulani Resort reserves the right to cancel any reservations or purchases and provide applicable refunds.”

Cancellations at Aulani
At this time a reopening date has not been identified. Aulani will plan their reopening based upon the guidelines from the government and health officials.
All Disney Resort reservations at Aulani are cancelled through October 17th.
Guests with reservations that will be affected may now cancel these reservations without Disney-imposed room reservation cancellation penalties.
