Returning Talent

I was so excited to share that Josh Gad return to his role as LeFou, and Luke Evans will return as Gaston. Both actors did amazing in their previous roles. I am sure that they will not disappoint in portraying a different spin on such a classic Disney story.

At this time, none of the original cast has been set to return for this prequel, but were are hoping that Emma Watson may appear as Belle at least a few times.

Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and will serve as co-writers and as show-runners. Also joining the co-writer crew will be Josh Gad, the actor who played LeFou. This writing trio will also serve as executive producers.

Kitsis and Horowitz are currently under contract with ABC Studios and they are well known for their work on the ABC program “Once Upon A Time.” I loved this series where classic Disney heroes and villains had their classic stories portrayed with a bit of a twist.

This prequel series will premiere on Disney+. The announcement of the title for this series came as famed Disney composer, Alan Menken.

Menken recently became the 16th person to win all 4 of the top awards in entertainment: the Emmy, the Grammy, the Oscar, and the Tony.

With this recent accomplishment, Menken shared with Variety Magazine regarding his career and upcoming projects.

He shares, “I’m excited about the projects I’m doing. I’m working on Disenchanted and a new Beauty and the Beast prequel, The Little Town.”

Disney fans remember the opening scene where we first meet Belle and she sings “Little town, it’s a quiet village.” The title for this Disney+ series will be simply “Little Town” and we are so excited to hear more wonderful songs composed by Alan Menken.

At this time the prequel is still in development and a release date has not yet been set. We will continue to update the Pirate Crew when more information is revealed.

The beauty and the beast prequel will be titled: “Little TOwn”
