Universal Orlando resort is going forward with their extremely popular Halloween Horror Nights for 2020. Read on for the latest details.

Universal’s ever popular Halloween Horror nights is set to happen in 2020! Some fans had been concerned that the event would not take place during the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, Channel 13 in Orlando is reporting that Universal is currently holding auditions for Halloween Horror nights!

The audition website says it is seeking performers with “slender to athletic builds” in a variety of height ranges.

No experience is necessary, but candidates are instructed to bring a head shot, a full length shot, and their resumé.

They are also to upload a video either of them performing in a previous year’s Halloween Horror Nights event OR a video of them in athletic clothing, next to a refrigerator to gauge height, talking about their favorite scary movie (if they have not previously performed in HHN).

Rehearsals will begin in August for performances in September, October and November.

This will be the event’s 30th anniversary and throwback event merchandise is on sale on Universal Orlando’s online shop!

Please note that as always, this event is not intended for children under the age of 13. It is an intensely scary event, the polar opposite of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party. Proceed with caution when considering whether to take the kids.

Disney canceled Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween parties for this year. Part of the reason for the cancellation was likely that parades and fireworks are discontinued for the time being.

Character greetings have been reimagined to take place from a distance. It’s also difficult to picture what socially distanced trick-or-treating might look like.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is scheduled for select nights September 10- November 1.
