Since the announcement of the delayed reopening of Disneyland, news has been pretty quiet. We are now seeing that guests may be able to make reservations at resorts, and soon! Read on for the details.

Disneyland had previous plans to reopen on July 17th, which would have coincided with the park’s 65th anniversary of the park’s opening.

It was later pushed back when it was revealed that the state of California would not issue theme park reopening guidelines until sometime after July 4th.

The Downtown Disney District is still scheduled to open on July 9th. Disneyland’s website still states that, “The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort remain closed and will reopen at a later date. Disneyland Park and Disneyland California Adventure Park remain closed and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals.”

Hotel Reservations

Guests with hotel reservations between now and July 31, 2020 are now being asked to modify or cancel their hotel reservations and are being told reservations are currently available for dates beginning on August 1, 2020 and later.

A quick check of the Disneyland resort hotel website shows available dates beginning August 1, 2020 and later at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.

Cancellation Policy and Modifications

Guests impacted by the temporary closure who have reservations through July 31, 2020 can modify or cancel their reservations by calling (714) 520-5050. Disney is currently waiving any change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through the closure period.

Disneyland still has not released an official date for the park’s reopening at this time. We will continue to keep a close eye on any news relating to the park’s reopening.
