Union Recalls Restaurant Cast Members, Confirms Some Buffets will be Family Style

More good news is coming! Even more Disney World Cast Members are being recalled back to work soon. In the announcement, it was also revealed certain buffets will now be served family style. Read on to find out more!

Disney World is preparing to reopen. It is exciting news to see the gates getting ready to open back up!

Local 737 has posted a large list of various restaurants where Cast Members will be called back to work!

Cast Members will be called back by seniority. This will start as early as June 28, 2020. Some Cast Members will not be called back until July 5, 2020 (the day before our rumored start for AP previews).

What type of Cast Members are being called back?

The list that Local 737 gave out is restaurants. These restaurants are throughout Walt Disney World, including Disney Springs, Theme Parks, and resorts.

There are also a few resorts that have called back housekeeping.

Buffet restaurants now Family Style

Disney has made mention that guests will no longer be able to “self-serve” when they reopen. The local union noted that buffet style restaurants would be transitioning to Family-style. This would be to help reduce the risk of COVID-19.
