Disneyland Provides Update on Resort Operations, Extends Tickets for Select Guests

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

While we don’t have a reopening date, Disneyland provided an update on the resort operations and what we may expect to see in the parks. Additionally, they have extended several ticket offers.

Disneyland has been closed since mid-March. We at Kenny the Pirate have been keeping a close eye on the reopening of Disney Parks around the world, and more specifically, here in the United States.

News from the West Coast has been relatively quiet. With news of Disney Springs reopening and theme parks in Florida beginning to present their reopening plans, we are hopeful we will hear from Disneyland officials soon.

Resort Operations Update

Most recently, we did receive an update regarding the resort operations for when the parks do reopen. The Disneyland website lays out some protocols and procedures we may see in the park.

Specifically, it states:

Upon reopening, certain Disneyland Resort theme parks, hotels, restaurants, and other locations may be limited in capacity and subject to restricted availablilty or even closure based on guidance from health experts and government officials.

Furthermore, certain attractions, experiences, services, and amenities will be modified, have limited availability, or remain closed. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.

We reserve the right to cancel any reservations, admission media, or purchase and provide applicable refunds.

Our focus remains on the health and safety of the entire Disney community – including the well-being of the Cast Members who are caring for and securing our parks and Resorts during the closure.

Ticket Offer Extensions

Disneyland Resort Guests who purchased the Southern California Resident Ticket offer also got word today that the discounted ticket could be used through December 16, 2021.

The discounted Child Ticket offer and other offers were also extended as well. Check out full details below.

What do you think of this update? Do you think we will hear from Disneyland soon? If you’re one of the Guests affected by the ticket offer extension, share your plans with us on Facebook!

Agreed, this makes me very nervous. We have a reservation for the middle of August and our first trip to DL. I would be upset traveling from PA and paying for a resort and meals to find we could not get into the parks.....

Wow. If WDW makes a similar statement, we (as out of state visitors) would have to re-consider our trip. I would hate to travel by plane & pay for the resort only to be told we can't get into the parks.
