This is a strange time for us all. The class of 2020 is probably feeling this the most though. From missed graduation ceremonies and proms to virtual parties and exams, graduating students are definitely not experiencing what they had hoped and planned for.
We’ve shared some great ideas about how to honor your graduate. From magical gifts to planning a future trip to Disney World, we hope whatever you choose to do is special!
The president of Disney Parks, Josh D’Amaro, also shared a special message for the class of 2020.
D’Amaro began his graduation message by recognizing that there is nothing traditional about today or the graduation ceremonies for many students, but he went on to say that there is also nothing traditional about all of the students graduating this year.
The students represent “our future, the world’s source of inspiration, and new ideas,” D’Amaro says.
He concluded by saying, “You are the writers of the script. We celebrate you as you begin this new chapter of your life story. May it be one of adventure, happiness and yes, a little magic too. Congratulations, and we wish you all the very best wherever you may be.”
The message ended with a viewing of Happily Ever After. We certainly wish that all of the 2020 graduates can have their own happily ever after as they embark on new journeys.
Freeform Celebrates Graduates
To continue the celebrating, Freeform is airing a movie marathon for graduates this entire weekend, May 16 and 17. From Monster’s University to Zootopia, each movie is about school or chasing your dreams or having a passion!
If you sent in your graduate’s name, also be on the lookout for their last name to be aired on tv during the marathon! This is such a neat way to show the graduates in your life that you love them. Unfortunately, the submission period has now ended, but be sure to check out all the graduates!
