There will be a variety of Disney designs to choose from including designs from all the parks. New designs will be added continually.

Kiosks are currently available at Disney Springs in the Marketplace Co-Op. There is also one at Tomorrowland Power and Light, which is the store connected to Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom.

The Disney Springs location

The initiative will soon expand to several other locations. This will include:

  • The NBA Experience at Disney Springs
  • Frontier Trading Post and Curtain Call collectibles at Magic Kingdom
  • Star Wars Launch Bay and Celebrity 5 & 10 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Star Wars Launch Bay and Star Traders at Disneyland resort on the West Coast!

This is Disney’s latest clever attempt to combat some of the loss of sales to Etsy Sellers. They also have vacation shirts on the ShopDisney site that can be customized prior to your trip!

This is also exciting news for those of us who like characters and attractions that may not be popular enough to warrant their own line of clothing.

I literally can not get enough of the orange bird!

When my son was little he loved Minnie Mouse, but I could never find him a Minnie Mouse tee that wasn’t too girly (read: glittery). I used the (now closed) Design a Tee kiosk in the Hanes store at Disney Springs to make him one that was just plain black with Minnie and said “Walt Disney World.”

If you decide to customize a tee or another item, the Disney site states that the item will be ready to be picked up a few hours later or can be conveniently sent to your resort hotel or shipped to your home. What a time to be alive.

What do you think? Will you use this service? Let us know in the comments on Facebook, and be sure to share your awesome creation with our friendly pirate crew group!
