Forget Something? Where to Buy Necessities at Disney World

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

If you’re anything like me, you make lists and double-check that you have everything before you leave the house! But even the most diligent packer can forget items at home, or find themselves in need of something after they arrive. Read on to see what is easily available at your resort and what might take a little more savvy to find.

One of the best parts about Disney is that you don’t need your own car to get around, so many guests forgo a rental car in favor of the Magical Express and Disney buses. But now that you’re here, you find yourself in need of something that didn’t make it into your luggage.

Let’s start with the resort gift shop. There’s actually quite a lot of items available at the resort gift shops. A variety of over the counter medications, sunscreen, nail files, and the like are all present.

The mark up is, of course, pretty steep. 24 brand name Benadryl will run you $7.39, while my local Target sells the same box for $4.49. It’s around a 40% mark-up. That was the only item I price compared, just to give readers an idea.

Now that Disney Springs is basically a very nice outdoor mall, there are a lot of great options for buying clothing and similar items!

My favorite option is a fast-fashion store called Uniqlo. I call it Japanese H&M. It’s wonderful for basics that you may have omitted, such as undergarments and rain jackets.

There are clothes for men, women, and children!
Bras and Leggings at very reasonable prices

Uniqlo is very close to the Disney buses and I am eternally grateful for having located it one trip when I neglected to bring a specific article of clothing! They also have a large selection of Disney branded items at very reasonable prices. The sale price on their T-shirts is $5.90!

Now that I have professed my undying love of Uniqlo, I can move onto the greatest familiar addition to Disney Springs in recent years: Sephora.

Even closer to the bus stops than Uniqlo, Sephora is a one-stop shop for all of your hair, body, and make-up needs.

Sephora does free make-overs, including Halloween themed ones in the fall!

While your resort shop should also carry a single swimsuit option for everyone in your family, you could check out Everything But Water and add some Havianas flip flops to complete your look. Both stores are available at Disney Springs!

Of course, Amazon Prime now, Instacart and other delivery services are always an option, but they generally have minimum spends for deliveries. You could also take a Lyft to a Wal-mart or Target close to Disney property. There are a lot of ways to take care of forgotten items, so Hakuna Matata!
