All Disney World theme parks have returned to offering “Rope Drop”

As of September 1, 2015 all four Walt Disney World theme parks have resumed offering a “Rope Drop” procedure of some type.  Hollywood Studios Rope Drop

Disney’s Animal Kingdom park allows its guests to enter 30 minutes before regular park opening and gathers guests in the upper oasis / Discovery Island area.  When the park opens, guests are guided to Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest.

Epcot also allows this earlier entry and takes the guests past Spaceship Earth, all the way down near the fountain.  Guests are usually allowed to ride Spaceship Earth before the rest of the park is open, but may not always happen.  I wouldn’t do this as I prefer to be among the first on Test Track or Soarin’.  Guests are slowly guided toward Test Track and Soarin’ at “rope drop.”

Hollywood Studios has now rejoined the rope drop party by allowing guests to enter early and fill Hollywood Boulevard while waiting on the park to officially open.  Starbucks at the Trolley Car Cafe will be open.  Guests will be slowly guided toward Rock n Roller Coaster / Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania.

The Magic Kingdom continues to offer the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show at the Train Station daily.

Guests with confirmed dining reservations will still be able to enter the park and make their way to their breakfast reservations with no issues.

I actually preferred the version with no rope drop because it avoided the giant cluster of guests pressing toward the front to be among the first to the E-ticket attractions.

there's a lot of rumors on different Disney blogs and the DIS boards that the Jedi Academy will be closed from October through December. So make sure you double check before planning around that.

Please clarify-- with this typo I want to understand-- yes or no on Hollywood Studios-- check this sentence from above:

" Hollywood Studios has no rejoined the rope drop party by allowing guests to enter early and fill Hollywood Boulevard while waiting on the park to officially open."

Should it be "has" or "has not" thanks--- just getting ready for my trip and want to be clear.

Thank you

I was there in August and had an 8:05 BOG when the park opened at 9:00. Was at my table with food by 8:05. Done eating by 8:35 and rode 7D Mine train 4 times in a row. It was great.

When we were there in late April, we had normal entry to the park, headed straight back to Anna and Elsa and waited about 45 minutes. If we had waited to see them in the afternoon/evening there would have been no wait. We just didn't want to test our luck since our little girls were stoked to meet them. I wonder if the amount of time with Anna and Elsa increases if there are shorter lines though. We were rushed through anna and elsa but had 15 minutes each with Cinderella and Rapunzel.
