Disney World testing direct bus between Magic Kingdom and Fort Wilderness

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Walt Disney World is currently testing a direct bus route from the Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

The test began on April 20th, 2015 and will continue for up to 4 weeks.  It allows guests to board a bus and ride in air conditioned comfort to Fort Wilderness directly to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ at the Settlement Depot stop.  The buses will run from 4:00pm to 11:30pm.

In all honesty, I have always preferred to take the little boat!
