Villains’ Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle provided as upsell to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Fantasyland, Anastasia Drizella Lady Tremaine, Cinderella Step Sisters, Meet and Greet

I usually reserve my thoughts for add-ons like this until I’ve experienced the event, like the Star Wars Premium Package which was rolled over into the Frozen Premium Package and the Star Wars Character Meals.  At this time I don’t plan to attend this event.  It may come off as the most awesome thing Disney has ever offered, but I can’t bring myself to spend $100 to review this when I could use my hard-earned money in other ways.  If you would like to sponsor my review, I’ll do it for your benefit and plug your cause, but I don’t plan to attend.

It seems like you’ll waste 1 hour of your 5 that you’re paying for and will get little in return.  I love the Tremaines and the little singing thing might just be fun, but just follow my advice to see the second parade and you’ll be fine.  You can see the fireworks without a “premium location.”  Just face the Castle and you’ll have a good view.

According the the Disney phone operator the following villains will appear (but I don’t guarantee this) Lady Tremaine, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Queen Grimhilde, Dr. Facilier, Frollo, Captain Hook and Queen of Hearts.

Join Lady Tremaine and her villainous friends at the witching hour for the season’s most decadent dessert party. Taking place during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, it’s the Villains’ Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle! Set within the majestic halls of Cinderella’s Royal Table, don’t miss your chance to meet a menagerie of malevolent special guests—all while you indulge in devilish desserts and wicked entertainment.

As the evening continues, follow fellow Guests to the dining room, where the surroundings have transformed into an upscale, villainous atmosphere. Inside, enjoy the eerie entertainment as a piano player provides live music, accompanied by a few haunting solos from Lady Tremaine herself.

By purchasing a ticket to both Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Villains’ Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle, you’ll receive:

  • preferred viewing for the 8:15 performance of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade,
  • as well preferred viewing for the Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular.
  • Plus, you’ll be treated to the Dessert Soiree at Cinderella’s Table—a delightful affair where you can feast your senses on Lady Tremaine’s eerie musical talents, over-the-top desserts and specialty non-alcoholic beverages.
  • You’ll even receive an autograph card
  • and a souvenir Maleficent dragon cup!

Please be aware that admission to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is required and is not included in the price. 1. i know there are two seating’s for the new Villains Soiree, are they the same length of time? Does the second time slot continue on after the park closes?
    Thanks for your help!

  2. Please can you advise where to meet ursula at mnsshp. We are dressing as ariel themed people. …. daughter desperate to have photo with ursula. Thanks in advance

  3. I like that they are trying to offer special events like this. No one is saying the event isn’t a good idea. We are just quibbling about the price.

I hope they offer something new during MVMCP.

  4. If I knew u could meet all those villians without having to spend hours waiting for them at the party itself, I’d probably pay it

  5. Hey Kenny, I’ve read speculation that the villains M&Gs following their show at the castle won’t take place this year, as their time will be spent at this dessert party instead. Do you know if this is true or not? Thanks!

    • These two can’t be connected because this event only takes place twice. However, every villain that regularly met at Mix and Mingle will have regular meets this year in the park. I posted about that recently.

      • Oops – I went to Disney this weekend for the VU event and haven’t been on top of my regular reading. Thanks :)

      • I haven’t seen anything about where Frollo will be meeting if not at the Mix and Mingle (and how can it still be a “mingle” if they don’t mingle after? :p). I see locations for just about all the others. Have I missed the info on Frollo, or is that not out yet? And Facillier is just at the dance party (where they don’t usually stop to take photos/interact other than dancing), correct?

  6. Same for the $80 breakfast with Anna and Elsa and a photo. That’s outrageously expensive for a character breakfast. At CRT (which is only $50) you at least get a free wand, but this one it sounds like you have to buy your own crown and wand….didn’t see for how much, but I’ll wager it’s not cheap. What is it with Disney lately, everything is extra cost. They have a dessert across the hub at Tomorrowland that is under $30, no characters, but seriously 3x the cost just to add a meet and greet. And after this week’s mess of Villians Unleased, makes you wonder if you’ll have to stand in line for hours for the M&G and miss out on the MNSSHP that you ALSO paid for. My AP comes up for renewal in November and I’m seriously debating whether to bother…..if a $600 AP only means I have to pay more for this that and the other thing, well, maybe it’s time to explore other vacation places. Hard to imagine after 11 years of APs, but it’s getting too rich for my wallet. Europe is starting to sound cheap, lol.

    • Again the Anna and Elsa breakfast is NOT an official Disney event. It is a group of people who put it together and offered it to my readers who may wish to take part. I made that clear in that post.

This is a Disney event. However, if people want to pay the money, they will.

  7. I share your point of view!

I’ve read about a bunch of people already booking it so this will be the next big thing for parties…it’s sad to see really. You pay to get into an exclusive event and then have to pay another fee for an event within the event…not cool.

What do you think?
