Menus Touring Plans

Updated:  3/17/2015

A great touring plan is important at the Magic Kingdom because the Magic Kingdom is HUGE and has a lot of attractions to do.  I recommend that you plan to schedule your touring at least two days to take it all in and not feel stressed.

I recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before this park opening.  Make your way all the way to the LEFT.  You’ll see a bunch of people at the rope, but they don’t realize that the little rope on the side opens too.  You’ll be able to walk right up.

ktp iconThis plan was designed to be able to ride every ride and meet every character and allow time to see the parades, shows and fireworks in two days without much backtracking or rushing around.  If the park closes at 11:00 PM or later, you won’t have any problem riding most rides after 9:00 PM with little or no waits.  The four attractions for which you’ll find a wait all day will be Meet Anna and Elsa, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight and Space Mountain, so we’ll use FASTPASS+ for those.

What should I do about Anna and Elsa?

Option ONE – USE Fastpass+.  I highly recommend that you find a FP+ for these ladies!  Find a time, any time, and then insert the meet into this schedule as it fits your day.  If you have difficulty locating a FP+ during your trip, you may want to try this trick on How to Get Difficult to Find Fastpasses

Option TWO – WAIT!  If you choose to be among the people pulling hamstrings running the 1/4 mile from the Train Station to the Castle Rope, you better stay the LEFT at the rope.  They are now forcing EVERYONE to turn left around the Prince Charming Carousel.  People are waiting 2 or 3 hours to meet these ladies.  The rope drop procedure can take 7-10 minutes to get to the Castle.

Option THREE – Go straight there at park opening or right before closing. If you are among the first to enter, you’ll get a short wait time. If you are willing to wait until the last 30 minutes of the day, you can end your day with a meet with these Princesses

Shouldn’t I run to Space Mountain first?

Nope, if you want to see the characters, especially the princesses, you’ll need to take on Fairytale Hall one day and meet Merida first the other day.  You’ll see that the plan has been proven with times beside each item.

Shouldn’t I run to Peter Pan’s Flight first?

Peter Pan’s Flight is a very short, it’s a 3 minute long, ride in the dark.  For some reason people are willing to wait in line 1 to 2 hours just to experience this attraction.  If you are planning to meet the Princesses at Fairytale Hall, you’ll only find a short wait afterward on the slowest of days.  I recommend that you schedule a Fastpass+, so you won’t have to wait in line or run to get there.

Ohhhhkay, I see my mistake. The times that are listed are the next available time slots and not their only time to meet. I didn't realize I should click on each character for a full list of their meet and greet times. Glad I figured it out :)

I'm wanting to follow your touring plans, but I think I'm seeing some time discrepancies with the schedules you have listed on your character locator and the plans you have listed out for spending 2 Days at MK. For example, for Day Two at MK, you have Meet Aladdin and Jasmine as the second thing you should do that day. However, according to your Character Locator, Jasmine and Aladdin aren't availabe to meet until 3:30 that day. I also saw a similar discrepancy with Peter Pan, which is a must meet for us, so I just want to make sure we get it right. Can you please help so that I know what to do. Thanks for everything!!

Hey Kenny!

This is *exactly* what I've been trying to plan out on my own over the last few weeks (after only visiting once) for our upcoming June 1-6 trip! You just freed up so much time for me! :)

You say Enchanted Tales with Belle has short lines "late at night" - we have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and likely won't be able to stay out much past 9pm (planning on missing the parade one night to ride rides with hopefully shorter lines). How late at night are you talking for Enchanted Tales?

Depends upon what day you attend.

Hi Kenny,

I've managed to get an 8:25 am breakfast at Crystal Palace. Is it possible to see Merida after the breakfast, or we're looking at huge lines? How much time do we need @ CP?

I don't think we can rush in and out coz' I'm sure the kids will get carried away by Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Apart from early morning is there any other recommended time for Merida?

As for A&E I'll be doing a FP+ for my daughter and me on day 1. If we can't do rope drop then we'll use the FP+. Is this doable at all?

The crowd calendars are in green for the day we have chosen.

Thanks in advance once again.

Megha
