This Magic Kingdom's Modified Experience Change Is Now Permanent
One experience in Magic Kingdom was modified during a recent refurbishment, however this modification is now permanent. Find out what you need to know for your Magic Kingdom visit.
Cinderella Castle Refurbishment
The Disney Parks offer great attractions, but also great entertainment as well. Unfortunately, a refurbishment for Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom affects many entertainment offerings.
Last August, Disney shared that the castle will return to the classic grays, creams, and blues reminiscent of its classic look, complete with touches of gold!
In January, Disney began repainting the castle. As with many refurbishments, this will bring unwelcome changes.
"Let the Magic Begin" Impacted By Castle Painting
With the work being done on Cinderella Castle it has impacted entertainment around the castle. Every morning, the Magic Kingdom starts the day with the "Let the Magic Begin" show in front of Cinderella Castle. This is typically at 8:55 am each day.
Disney alerted Guests: "Cinderella Castle is currently undergoing a magical transformation. Due to project work, 'Let the Magic Begin' will be temporarily modified. While characters will not be making an appearance during this time, you will still hear the welcome fanfare and music to start your day at Magic Kingdom.
"Let the Magic Begin" became an audio only show only during the castle's repainting. We had hoped that this modification would only be temporary, however that is not the case.
"Let the Magic Begin" Remains Audio Only
"Let the Magic Begin" welcome show will continue with the modified audio only version. Even though this might be sad news for some, many Guests spend this time rope dropping attractions.
Beginning Sunday, May 10th, Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire will add another performance at 11:10 am.
However, Magic Kingdom will add an additional showing of Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire. Beginning Sunday, May 10th, Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire will also perform at 11:10 am.
