Characters appearing for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2012

I’ll start by listing the characters that you no longer will be able to meet at MVMCP this year:  Beast, Stitch and Shaker will no longer meet guests at 2012 parties.  The only positive re-addition will be Scrooge McDuck.  He was removed last year, but returns this year.  In my opinion the party has become less interesting each year.  We used to be able to meet classic characters like the Brers and Donald was in a great costume.  Lately, the trend is to extend the same characters that one could meet during the day.  I much prefer MNSSHP for character variety and pounds of candy, but I’m no Scrooge, I love Christmas. I just don’t love the character line up for 2012.

Abu – Agrabah Bazaar

  1. And your previous answer answered my other question re Genie… so if he starts at 7:30 we might still be with Jack and have to get in line before he meets at 8:30.

  2. We would like to do Castle lighting and early parade, as well as Merida, Wendy and Peter, Tink, Genie, and Rapunzel & Flynn. Any advise as to an order?

  3. Jack Sparrow, Mickey/Minnie, Genie/Jasmie. Those are the 3 character meets we’re interested in.
    Would greatly appreciate your recommendations.
Figure Jack first… is 6:30p early enough to get in line?
Then Genie/Jasmine – do they always meet on the hour or half? get in line around 8:05p?
Mickey/Minnie – get in line after second parade?

  4. We are attending the Magic Kingdom on a Christmas party day, but not attending the party. We were planning to get in line to see the Town Square Princesses right before we left the park since that is our usual plan. I’m wondering whether the CM will let us get in line around 6:45 pm or will it be only for party guests at that point since it will be after 7:00 when we get to the front of the line?

  5. Hi gang
First timer with 4 years old girl
When Rapunzel and Flynn begin to meet?
When it’s better to be there?
    It’s an absolute must do…
    Thank you

    • Santa doesn’t begin appearing at Epcot until after Thanksgiving. He should also begin meeting at the Magic Kingdom during the day then. If you are there after Thanksgiving, either park is better as long as you arrive just before his meets begin.

  6. What order would you do these character for the mvmcp on Tuesday, Dec 4th: 7 dwarfs, jack sparrow, mickey and minnie, scrooge mcduck? We do want to see a castle show, parade and wishes and do one or both dance parties.

  7. Weird question: Does FastPass run during the parties? I’d really like to meet the princess with their princes in town square theatre, but I really don’t want to stand in line for any length of time.

  8. Hi Kenny! I’m wondering if you can tell me which of the characters will be in Christmas attire during the party? We will be at MK all day b4 party, and would like to do as many as possible during non-party time. So, for example, I assume Jasmine won’t be in anything different than normal, but will Goofy have the Santa suit on? What about Snow White? Mickey and Minnie do wear holiday attire, right? Any help you can give is appreciated, even just to direct me to a place to find out. Thanks!

    • If it’s cooler Jasmine wears a full cover up. Mickey and Minnie wear Green and Red festive dress up costumes Aladdin appears as Prince Ali and Abu with Scarf Goofy as Santa at Cosmic Rays dance party

The following wear a scarf: Pan and Wendy – only chance to meet Wendy Scrooge – only chance to meet Pooh Gang Phineas and Ferb – Ferb wears Santa hat Genie – only chance to meet Duffy – santa costume Big Al and Liverlips – – only chance to meet 7 Dwarves – – only chance to meet

  9. Wow, that must have been a very special surprise appearance. Stitch as Elvis is quite rare. Even when he used to appear at MVMCP, it was in his Christmas scarf or his Hawaiian holiday shirt.

    • That’s strange because we have a picture of us dancing with Elvis Stitch last year at the final party. I’ll take your word on Shaker. We only met Big Al during our time in Frontierland last year.

  10. Very disappointing that Beast and Belle won’t be meeting together. Also not happy that Stitch isn’t meeting as the parties are the only place to meet him with his “extra” legs/arms?

  11. Thanks for the lineup but I want to say that Enchanted Tales with Belle is considered an “attraction” and not a meet n greet. When I was at Disney the weekend of Oct 18th, we were able to go thru Enchanted Tales with Belle, and as lovely as it is, I wasn’t thrilled. I wrote Disney with comments and they did call me the next day, and I was told right off the bat that it was an Attraction/experience, not an official M&G so not everyone will meet Belle and get a pic with her. Granted it was dress rehearsal, the Disney CM asked me to contact her when I get back from our upcoming trip and asked me to do it again and provide additional feedback. My issue was that in order to get a pic with Belle, you must be a part of the skit and the CM running our group never told our group that fact. The Disney CM also stated that the picture wasn’t important, it was all about interacting with Belle.
Maybe this has changed over the past few weeks? I pointed out that is the only place to meet Belle for free in MK and she quickly replied that Belle still meets in Epcot. She did say that MANY people have contacted them and voiced their disappointment/anger over the fact that Belle will NOT be in her Holiday dress nor will she have Beast with her. I told her that isn’t good at all, and she said hopefully it will return next year.
And I do agree with you about the parties!
    Mary
